How has your weekend been so far?

Mine? It’s a week of preparations, a combination of work and procrastination.

I’m trying to finish my website. It’s so close. And yet, it’s so sunny outside, and I love the dry heat we’ve been having lately on Vancouver Island. Finding that balance between enjoying the luscious pleasure of all things sunny and outdoorsy with the need to take action on my plans is certainly challenging.

I’ve also been preparing for changes in my routine – my dearest friend is going to be out of town for a few months and we’ll have visitors for a little bit. My daughter has one week left of school, and two more weeks until she goes north to her beloved gramma for the summer.

Here are some links I thought you’d enjoy this morning:

How To Be Alone, a sweeeeeet little 4 minute video by Andrea Dorfman & Tanya Davis. I love being alone, yet there have been times when it hasn’t felt like a choice. This video shows you how to make being alone delightful.

Thich Nhat Hanh – his ears, his impish smile, his sweet voice. This Buddhist monk has a lot of wisdom. In this video, he talks about how you can love yourself. (ps – it has a lot to do with your body)

For the creative and curious. I just love this art magazine: it’s Canadian, it’s quarterly, it’s full of amazing art and artists, and the creator is an underdog publishing world success story.

Let me know what you think!

Until next time,
