Hi! How has your weekend been so far?

Mine? Yesterday, on solstice, I took my daughter and her friend on a long journey. We drove, we ferried, we bussed, and finally I left them at the airport, boarding a plane to take them even further north to the Yukon.

Whoof! Now I have a few weeks of free time and my daughter has her beloved gramma in the far north to make her heart sing. While she’s gone I’ll be working on plenty of writing on the blog, in this newsletter, and, of course, making art! I’m looking forward to it.

Here are some links I thought you’d enjoy this morning:

Ouch! Faking cultural literacy and online web browsing – this gif and article nailed it close to home for me. I’ll be a little more careful next time I have an opinion on something.

Seema Anand is a fabulous storyteller. In this TEDx talk she speaks on the ancient Art of Seduction, and my favourite part is how she talks about the perfuming of the body. Ps – watch the whole 14 minutes, it’s about more than you might think.

I’m a little bit in love with Esme Weijun Wang. Why? Because she is so incredibly eloquent, courageous and honest as she writes about living with mental illness, being creative and being an entrepreneur.

Some beautiful beaded neckpieces to look at. Fair trade, culturally respectful and ethical. What more can you ask for?

Let me know what you think!

Until next time,
