It’s episode 69 and I’m chatting with Rev. Sheree Taylor-Jones, a New Thought minister, ordained in both Unity and Religious Science.

Rev. Sheree believes Universal Principles are a necessity to create a world where every sentient being thrives. She believes that as a metaphysical practitioners she ia called to be a catalyst of great change, to embrace each person as worthy and welcomed. With this ethos in mind, she created an experiential inclusivity training program and is a qualified transitional minister through The Interim Ministry Network.

We had a wide-ranging conversation about boldness and cleverness, and surprising people by what you bring to the table. Sheree discussed how she gets categorized as a woman of colour and of having been a high end overachiever always trying to prove herself as a coping strategy. She shares how this anxiety filled state has shifted and become an exhalation into showing up in the joy of being herself (and how that changes so much.)

We also talked about being a large framed diva woman, being put on a diet as a 5 year old, and, after a long time of being at war with her body, being at peace.

She illustrates the long journey from being in resistance to acceptance, and allowing herself to be a human in error as well as excellence. Of being the mouse in her chosen story (which you’ll hear soon!)

She also talks about what it was like to write a book, and shares some tips and tricks to getting it done.

Rev. Sheree also possesses an extensive corporate background, over fifteen years in consulting and training. She specialized in Strategic Planning, Communications Skills, Conflict Resolution, Leadership Skills, and Organizational Development and is also a certified pastoral counselor from St. John’s University in Nottingham, U.K.

She has a newly published book, via Amazon.com, entitled: Turn Your Why? Into Why Not! This book is about helping others change outdated belief systems which no longer serve them.

Currently she travels with her husband and two Chihuahuas throughout the United States, in their motor-home, guest speaking and lecturing. She is an executive board member of The Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN).

It was so fun to connect so deeply with Reverend Sheree, and I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy listening in.

Enjoy our ramble through the Aesop’s fable, The Lion and the Mouse as well as Sheree’s relationship with her body and creativity.
